ACORRN is an inclusive organisation which has an adaptable and evolving remit to support radiotherapy research and development. Radiotherapy is a highly complex and multidisciplinary area, and ACORRN seeks to carry out its role within the wider contexts of clinical need, research, training and professional development. ACORRN works closely with stakeholder organisations to ensure that its initiatives are relevant and complementary to national research and development activities.
The main conduit for collaborative working is the ACORRN Scientific Committee. This committee comprises official stakeholder representatives, including radiotherapy and radiobiology research organisations, professional bodies, training colleges and patient organisations. ACORRN seeks to work with all professions, including radiotherapists, radiographers, physicists, nurses and radiobiologists. A full list of organisations and representatives can be downloaded here.
If you would like to suggest an organisation which you feel should be represented on the ACORRN Scientific Committee, please contact the National Office
