Oversight and Governance
ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy is committed to managing its charitable activities in a transparent and responsible way. ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy is bound by UK Charity Law, and is answerable to the UK Charity Commission. ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy. ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy is bound by its Charitable Objects which were developed in consultation with the ACORRN Scientific Committee and agreed with the Charity Commission. ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy makes periodic reports to the Scientific Committee and the Charity Commission.
The day to day management of ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy is the responsibility of the Board of Trustees. Trustees meet regularly every 2-3 months, and communicate regularly by email. All decisions are taken by the Board as a whole, often in discussion with the Scientific Committee and/or the Charity Commission. ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy provides annual operational and financial reports to the Charity Commission.
The Charity is also answerable to its members, and ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy actively seeks feedback from members of the radiotherapy and radiobiology research and development communities. More information is given in the ACORRN Structure section.
