ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy funds will be used to support radiotherapy research and development. We are committed to keeping administrative costs as low as possible so you can be sure that we can channel as much money as possible into our charitable activities.

We are launching this charity with new twice yearly travel and training grants. Five grants of £500 will be awarded members of the radiotherapy research and/or clinical communities. These grants are intended to allow individuals to access training opportunities and attend meetings, to help collaboration, sharing of best practice and learning.

ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy has an ambitious £5 million fundraising campaign. This money will be used in a variety of ways to help build a high quality radiotherapy and radiobiology research and development platform.

There are many ways ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy will help radiotherapy researchers, service deliverers and patients including (but not restricted to):

• Helping to develop and share best practice guidelines between centres to make sure that all patients get the high quality care, no matter where they live;
• Working with patients, carers and clinical practitioners to identify the research questions which are most important to patients;
• Providing research training grants to clinicians, radiobiologists, physicists, nurses and radiographers;
• Providing research staff and equipment to support research in NHS centres;
• Supporting training of researchers and service deliverers.
