ACORRN Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee (formerly the Steering Committee) is the main governing body of ACORRN, managing the overall scientific and strategic operation of the research network, and determining how the charity’s income should be spent to further ACORRN’s charitable objects. The Scientific Committee receives regular reports from the Board of Trustees.
The Scientific Committee comprises representatives from all related research areas and relevant professions/disciplines, and includes all members of the Board of Trustees. Members have a wide geographical spread, and include representatives from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Committee is the main mechanism by which ACORRN links with external radiotherapy and radiobiology stakeholders, including professional bodies and colleges, government bodies and research organisations. Organisations are invited and encouraged to nominate representatives to serve on the Scientific Committee.
We are currently looking to expand the Scientific Committee and are seeking new and dynamic members. If you are interested, or would like to nominate an individual or organisation, please contact the National Office.
