ACORRN Grant Funding

DUE TO TECHNICAL PROBLEMS WITH DOWNLOADING FORMS, THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 5PM ON FRIDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER

To celebrate the launch of ACORRN - Action Radiotherapy as a charity, we are introducing a new grant funding programme. Initially this will comprise twice yearly travel training grants of £500 each. Five grants will be awarded per round, one each to:

  • Clinical Oncologists
  • Radiographers
  • Medical Physicists
  • Radiobiologists
  • Radiotherapy Nurses

Grants are open to members of ACORRN. The current scheme is now open. For more information, and to download application forms, please visit our Apply for Funding section. You will be prompted to enter your username and password, or to register for free membership. Applications must be received by the National Office no later than 5pm on Friday 24th September 2010.

This funding programme will run in addition to our existing funding support for collaborative research meetings

Other radiotherapy research grants

This is planned to be the start of a wider programme of cancer research grants and other awards targeted specifically towards radiotherapy, underpinned by our ambitious 5 year, £5 million fundraising plan. This research grant programme will be open to all professions associated with radiotherapy, and will be reactive to the needs of our members. Grants may include:

  • Pump priming grants
  • Larger research grants
  • Research training fellowships
  • Research infrastructure grants for radiographers and physicists

Keep monitoring this page for more information. Remember, the amount of grant funding we can provide will depend on our fundraising. For more news on our fundraising activities, how you can get involved, and to donate to the charity, please visit our Charity section.
